One person.
One laptop.
Real tools.
NoobiBuilds started as a side experiment — a legal professional curious about technology, building things in the gaps between work and family time. That grew into practical digital tools, website audits, and hands-on upgrade work. This is that story.
How messy becomes useful
Every product follows the same simple loop. No over-engineering. No boardrooms.
A frustration. A gap. Something that should exist but doesn't.
Build the simplest version. Test it. See what breaks.
Add craft. Make it delightful. Keep it simple.
Ship it. Price it fairly. Let real people use it.
What we believe
Four principles that guide every build, every decision, every product.
A working product today beats a perfect product never. Momentum is the strategy.
Curiosity beats planning. Experiments unlock doors that analysis never finds.
No vanity projects. Every tool must fix a real problem for a real person.
Version 1 is a hypothesis. Feedback is the data. v2 is the answer.
From first computer to first product
The long version. For anyone who wants to know where this came from.
A kid sitting in front of a machine that felt like science fiction. No internet. No tutorials. Just curiosity and a lot of trial and error. The DATA-SABER was inactive. But the fascination had already started.
Broadband. Forums. YouTube tutorials. The realisation that you could learn anything if you were willing to search for it. Technology stopped being a mystery and started being a superpower — if you knew how to use it.
First real attempts at building things. APIs that refused to cooperate. Deployments that broke silently. The classic developer experience of three hours of work resulting in a blank screen. Every failure was a lesson. There were a lot of lessons.
The arrival of practical AI tools collapsed the gap between idea and execution. A person with no computer science degree could suddenly prototype, build, and ship real tools. The saber activated. NoobiBuilds was born.
Nights and pockets of time between a full-time legal career and family. Two apps a week is the goal. The studio is tiny on purpose — small, fast, and honest beats big, slow, and over-funded every time.
Not a startup.
A person.
"I build things in the time between putting the kids to bed and falling asleep at the laptop. That's not a complaint — that's just what this is."
The legal background is an asset, not a detour. It means every tool built for SA professionals and SMEs is built by someone who actually understands the context — the filings, the deadlines, the frustrations.
The "Noobi" in NoobiBuilds is honest. This is an exploration. Every product is an experiment. Every experiment is a lesson. The goal is not to be the biggest — it is to build the most useful things for the people who need them most.
Have a problem worth solving?
Whether you need a website audit, a cleaner upgrade path, a custom build, or just want a second opinion on what to fix first, the workshop door is open.
